Jim graduated from the Southern Institute of Technology (a division of the Georgia Institute of Technology) with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering - Construction Management. Jim worked as an Architect and Structural Engineer on a wide range of projects: the University of South Carolina, the Georgia Stadiums, the Miami Heart Institute, the World Expo Canada Harbor Place and the Korean Olympic Stadiums where the first ever cable-supported fabric roof structure was used. Since 1983, Jim has been working as an architectural specifications specialist for various manufacturers in the tile and stone industry and assists the design community from specification to installation on countless Tile and Stone projects. Jim taps into his practical design background and over 35 years of field sales experience to provide attendees with practical information they can use on any project involving Tile and Stone.
