For most of history, mankind has lived in harmony with the rhythm of nature. However, we now spend 90% of our time indoors. The result of this disconnect has proven to affect both our physical and mental health. Throughout this course, we examine the use of lighting, finishes, materials, and design principles at large to bring the outdoors to the interior and vice versa. We examine how to safely blur the line between indoor and outdoor spaces to create optimal indoor and outdoor living environments.
